Norway‘s Liberal Party, a key support for the ruling coalition, wants to change how oil wealth is phased into the economy and set up a buffer for when times are bad.

The party proposed ahead of elections in September regulating spending on the real return of the $910 billion sovereign wealth fund rather than its size, as the rules allow now, Terje Breivik, a finance committee member for the Liberals, said in an interview on Tuesday.
