Poland’s Law & Justice, the winner of last month’s parliamentary election, unveiled its government lineup on Monday, proposing Mateusz Morawiecki, the chief executive officer of Bank Zachodni WBK SA, as a deputy prime minister in charge of economic affairs.

Led by Prime Minister Beata Szydlo, the cabinet will include former corporate lawyer Pawel Szalamacha as finance minister and historian Witold Waszczykowski in charge of foreign policy, she told reporters in Warsaw. President Andrzej Duda is expected to officially nominate Szydlo for prime minister later this week.

Riding a popular discontent over economic prospects, Law & Justice promises to overhaul the $548 billion economy with taxes on the financial industry and big supermarkets as well as increased social spending. It also wants Poland to take a more assertive stance in European Union affairs, including opposition to the bloc’s climate policy. The zloty and Polish stocks gained following the nominations by Szydlo.
